The Hi-Tech Lab project for Primary schools

It is essential to ensure that the primary sections of our schools are also equipped with ICT gadgets, as like the Secondary schools. It was in this perspective that the State Government decided to implement the Hi-Tech Lab project for Primary schools, through which ICT equipment would be deployed to Lower Primary and Upper Primary schools. Similar to the Hi-Tech school project, KITE was entrusted with the responsibility of implementing this project as well, with funding from KIIFB (Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board). The 300 Cr Project was implemented during 2018-2020 in 11257 Primary schools in the State, where 56244, Laptops, 24381Projectors and 56240 USB Speakers were deployed which were in proportion to the number of students. Along with this, High Speed Broadband Internet Connectivity was also provided to 7398 primary schools.
