Broadband Internet Connectivity to Schools in Kerala

Broadband internet connectivity to all secondary schools in Kerala was provided from 2007 onwards. As part of High-Tech school project, broadband connectivity provided to secondary schools is now being upgraded to High Bandwidth broadband connectivity. The high speed internet connectivity is being provided to Lower Primary and Upper Primary schools also. IT@School Project has signed an agreement with BSNL / RailTel for providing Internet facility to all Government, Aided schools with special tariff package. Strict guidelines has been issued by the Project for usage of broadband connections in schools. Students and teachers could now make use of unlimited ICT enabled content and educational tools through this facility.
